KGBV schools, or Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, are residential schools established by the Indian Government to provide free, quality education to girls from disadvantaged backgrounds (SC, ST, OBC, Minorities, BPL) in educationally backward blocks, bridging gender gaps with boarding, meals, and skill development to empower marginalized girls through education.
